Shevonne & Kyle Leech
Melbourne Zoo was the backdrop for the wedding ceremony and reception for Shevonne & Kyle Leech. Located a tramride away from the heart of the Melbourne CBD. The Melbourne Zoo offers “a world of wildlife in the heart of Melbourne”. Weddings Parties Entertainment was thrilled to be a part of the special day for the Bride and Groom, providing the ceremony wedding music, the magic mirror photo booth and the wedding DJ & MC for their big day. Weddings Parties Entertainment also had a huge wedding surprise later for the reception. The Bride and Groom would be dancing on a cloud in Melbourne.
The Wedding Ceremony music was provided by Weddings Parties Entertainment team for Shevonne & Kyle in the Japanese garden on a cool and overcast day on 27 July 2019. Michael ensured the ceremony set up was elegant and subtle so not to detract from the surrounds of the Melbourne Zoo’s animal and plant life with portable and wireless speakers and microphone. The advantage of this system is there is no wires or electricity needed so it can be set up anywhere and moved quickly if it starts to rain. The guests started to arrive about 30 minutes prior to the ceremony, to music from Drake, Savage Garden and Ed Sheeran. The Melbourne Zoo garden was a beautiful setting for the guests and the groom while he waited for his bride to be. With the music cue from Ellie Goulding “How long will I Love You the beautiful bride started to make her final walk as a single lady. The bride was wearing a lovely dress from Bendigo Bridal Collection, her hair by Amanda Andreadis and her make up was by Jess Bindley.
The official service was conducted by civil celebrant Mr John Bond in front of loving family and friends with all the magic being captured by photographers & videographers David and Simon from ATEIA Photography
A Major plus for Weddings at Melbourne Zoo is the opportunity to have your wedding ceremony & reception at the same place, this is exactly what Shevonne & Kyle did. The Japanese Garden was closed to the public for the wedding day to provide the newlyweds and their guests with complete privacy. Michael from Weddings Parties Entertainment managed the wedding ceremony music, while the team of Juanita and Charlotte went to work setting up Melbourne’s best wedding entertainment in the Bong Su. The Celebrant was a personal friend of the family and the crowd erupted in cheer with the announcement of the newly weds to the music “You Are The Reason by Calum Scott and Leona Lewis
Later in the day when the Bride, Groom and the wedding party arrived at the wedding reception, the Bong Su room was immaculately dressed for them to celebrate with their family and friends including giant LOVE letters, and beautiful flowers on all tables. The bridal party were introduced to the sounds of Chris Brown “Forever” and the bride and groom celebrated their arrival to “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk The Moon. As you can see in the gallery below, the Royal Melboune Zoo makes for a terrific and stunning place to hold a celebration.
From the first dance when our lovely bride and groom danced to Westlife’s “I Wanna Grow Old With You” on a beautiful cloud of dry ice, the bridal first dance effect was nothing short of heavenly. Melbourne’s best DJ & Mirror Photo Booth operator Michael King with the help of his team Juanita & Charlotte got the night going, they didn’t stop even when the photographer took the bride and groom out for some night photos. We got to play some amazing music including Pink’s “Raise Your Glass”, “Fast Car” by Tobtok and River as well as the audience thundering “This Is Me” from the Greatest Showman to name just a few. We entertained everyone as we played a heap of wedding dance floor favourites including “Mambo Number 5”, “Cotton Eye Joe”, Tina Turners’ “Nutbush City Limits” and even some current dance floor fillers, like “Old Town Road” by Lil Nasx & Billy Ray Cyrus and “The Git Up” by Bianco Brown. The Weddings Parties Entertainment team kept the dance floor packed until the very last song (where of course, the guests chanted for “one more song!”) were we finally said goodbye with the help from Justin Timberlake “Can’t Stop The Feeling” the night was filled with magic moments.
The Magic Mirror Photo booth was never lonely with the Bride and Groom, their family & friends enjoying having happy snaps with each other, before getting the option to text a digital copy to their phone in minutes and printing the photo’s out on the night for them to take home. These photos are terrific keepsakes of a night that will be remembered for a lifetime. The photos look amazing and shows that everyone was having so much fun with Melbourne’s Best Mirror Photo booth!
A highlight to the reception was the loving moments and well wishes shared by the speech makers. It was bittersweet day for both Shevonne and Kyle, who have both in recent years lost a number of very close family members, who could not be there to celebrate her special day. A Special love is sent out to Shevonne’s parents and grandparents and to Kyle’s grandparents. In Shevonne’s words “Even though you weren’t physically with us we know you were with us in spirit”. With the family deciding NOT to move there is a large focus again on their online shop “Bathtime Candy”. Che out the page https://www.facebook.com/bathtimecandy/
We had a blast celebrating with Shevonne and Kyle as well as their family and friends, and we sincerely wish them and the family the greatest of wedding happiness.
